Back in April when we re-scheduled this show to September 12, it seemed like a realistic date to plan for hosting a live show again. Turns out it wasn’t.

Debaser is seeking new board members who share our passion for boundary-pushing creative music and art, and our commitment to fostering safer and more inclusive cultural spaces.

We were so bummed when Mdou Moctar’s North American tour was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic outbreak just three days before his sold out stop in Ottawa on March 16 at Club SAW

Unfortunately, due to safety hazards surrounding the COVID-19 outbreak, all upcoming Debaser events until April 3, 2020 are cancelled.

Sadly, Mdou Moctar has cancelled their entire tour including the upcoming show in Ottawa. Refunds will be processed via PayPal over the next few days.

Constellation Records recording artist Markus Floats will play Pressed on Friday, April 10 alongside fellow Montreal experimental artist Skin Tone, and local ambient/drone artist and friend of Debaser Wellington Sanipe.

We are excited to re-announce this show with Montreal duo ANAMAI on Sunday, March 29, whose original Ottawa show day on February 8 was postponed, now with special guests mal/aimé, Chrissy and DJ Pink Veil!

This free daytime series, co-presented by Debaser, SAW Video, Ottawa Dance Directive (ODD), and the City of Ottawa Community Arts & Social Engagement, will feature visual projections by Pansee Atta, sounds by Wellington Sanipe (March 5 and April 16 only) and Pama (March 26 and May 14 only), and movement choreographed by Yvonne Coutts of Compagnie ODD.

Unfortunately we have had to postpone the upcoming show with ANAMAI on February 8 at Cinqhole. But ANAMAI will still be coming. New date to be announced soon!

We are excited to have Montreal experimental drone violinist Jessica Moss, and 13 Million Year Old Ghost, the experimental solo project of Yeah Yeah Yeahs guitarist Nick Zinner, at Club SAW on April 2.
