Abenaki multi-instrumentalist, singer and composer Mali Obomsawin comes to FONO for an Ottawa release show celebrating her new album, Automatic. Opening the evening is Main Arteries, a new project from prolific local drum improvisers Olivier Fairfield and Scott Warren combining acoustic percussion, tape loops and synthetic textures.

NOICE! returns on International Inuit Day with artists from Kalaallit Nunaat, Nunavut, and Nunavik on one stage. The night opens with a traditional ceremony, introduces one of the most promising new voices on the Greenlandic music scene, brings a dance party with music from the Kivalliq region, and closes with one of the most iconic names in all of Inuit music.
Coming soon to the Champagne Bath, Nick Bendzsa presents "Intimate Aquatic: Music for the Public Pool," a sound art installation specifically composed for above and below water. Utilizing traditional and underwater speakers, Bendzsa's compositions travel between the realms of water and air, urging attendees to dive deep. Bendzsa will be joined by ambient selector DJ Crip Time (aka Stefana Fratila, co-founder of Crip Rave).
On December 4, Dutch DJ and producer Marcelle (Another Nice Mess) brings her adventurous, genre-defying approach to Ottawa for a night of unpredictable dancefloor explorations. Armed with three turntables, Marcelle transforms DJing into an art form, weaving unexpected sounds, rhythms, and musical histories into thrilling, one-of-a-kind sets. Joining her are Destiny (Montreal), a shape-shifting selector navigating the intersections of fidgety halftime, techno, jazz, funk, and disco, and local head Shuv, rounding out a night of boundary-pushing sounds and dancefloor surprises.
