The first Debaser show was 10 years ago today, making today our official 10th birthday!
Looking back on that first show program of audio-visual performances by underground/experimental artists, held in the cavernous hostel bar Mugshots, right next door to our now-home in the Arts Court.
You could say we have come a long way, but also, that we haven't! We are still doing what we always have done – DIY shows with underground and underrepresented artists, experiential cross-disciplinary programming, and all-ages & pay-what-you-can events in intentionally safer spaces.
We are celebrating this milestone on June 10 at Pique summer edition, alongside Galerie SAW Gallery who celebrates their 50th birthday this year (!), with marquee programming at the largest edition of Pique yet! Tickets available here.
