Debaser and Dominion City partner to promote sustainability through reusable cup initiative
Debaser has teamed up with Dominion City Brewing Company to strengthen sustainability efforts with the launch of a new eco-cup at Pique summer edition. This partnership highlights a shared commitment to reducing environmental impact through the support of a reusable eco-cup initiative, featuring original artwork by House9—the Montreal-based studio behind Pique’s distinctive 2025 visual identity.
Launched in 2024, the eco-cup initiative has already diverted an estimated 2,500 single-use plastic cups from landfill. With Pique’s 2025 events expecting to draw more than 5,000 attendees, the continued use of these reusable cups is projected to significantly reduce plastic waste.
Locally crafted Dominion City beer and seltzers will be served across four bar areas at Pique. In addition to their environmental values, Dominion City’s Glorious and Free initiative champions the use of 100% Canadian ingredients in brewing and commits a portion of proceeds to charitable causes—supporting community-driven experiences and strengthening the social fabric.
Eco-Cup Program Highlights:
Design: The limited-edition eco-cup showcases a design by House9, evoking the dynamic, high-energy atmosphere that defines Pique.
Sustainability & Use: Constructed from durable, BPA-free materials, the cup is reusable, environmentally responsible, and built for long-term use.
Availability: Cups will be distributed at all bar service points throughout Arts Court. A $2 deposit will be added to the first drink purchase and is fully refundable upon cup return.
